HELP US

We need your help, do you have a few hours spare each week and would like to help? If yes, there are many ways in which you can, such as:

Animal care
We need volunteers to work alongside the animal centre staff with day to day tasks such as cleaning, feeding, grooming and exercising of the animals. You will need to be aged 16 years or above and have a real love of animals and be reasonably physically fit as the work can be strenuous.
Many of our volunteers help out just for the pleasure of being around animals whilst others volunteer to gain experience of working within an animal environment.
 
Administration
The animal centre has many administrative tasks which need voluntary help such as working on reception, dealing with visitors to the animal centre and answering the phone. The centre also requires constant maintenance, if you’re able to help please let us know.

Charity shop work
The charity shops team are dedicated to raising funds for the local branch and to help local animals so, if you are looking to gain experience in the retail industry or would just like to help for a few hours each week, we need your help. There are many roles in the shops such as working on the till, steaming the clothes, sorting, pricing and labelling items, stocking shelves and changing window displays. Training will be given.

Fundraising
A major part of the Branch’s activities involve fund raising Can you help out at open days and other events? Help with collections at supermarkets eg during ‘RSPCA week? Are you able to organise a fundraising event (eg a quiz or a social event) in your area? Take an active part in a sponsored event? If yes, we need you.
