| About Us
Longview Animal Centre was first opened on 20th August 1958 by the international singing star Eve Boswell. The animal centre is open to the public Tuesday - Sunday from 11:00-16:00. We are also open on Bank Holiday Mondays.
We have a small team of paid staff but, due to financial constraints, we rely heavily on our excellent volunteers. If you regularly have a few hours each week to spare, and would like to help, please pop in and see us or give us a ring on 01253 763991.

Animal Centre Manager: A new member to the team. Loves to work with all animals but has a soft spot for large breed dogs.

Lead Animal Care Assistant: Sarah is very friendly and a huge hit with all the animals in our care.

Animal Care Assistant: Hannah comes to us from a background in veterinary nursing.

Animal Care Assistant: Becky came to Longview in 2005 and loves working with all animals but her particular favourites are dogs and ferrets.

Animal Care Assistant: Hannah is about to commence her 2nd year studying towards her degree in animal welfare but puts in as much time as possible at the centre.

Animal Care Assistant: Laura has been with us 2 years full time and puts in as much time as possible at the centre.

Animal Care Assistant: Alison was a volunteer who is now employed full time. She has been helping at the centre for over a year and loves working with the dogs.

Animal Care Assistant: Charlie is a new member to the team. She is a qualified animal behaviourist and loves working with our ferrets.

Animal Care Assistant: Joseph was employed part-time but, as he was here as often as most full-time staff, he is now employed full-time.

Apprentice Animal Care Assistant: Emily has been with the team for nearly 18th months, and loves all the animals.

Lead Receptionist: Helen works closely with the animals at the centre as well as being on reception. She is a huge fan of Rotties.
