Good-hearted Grub arrived at Longview in April after his welfare needs were not being met in his previous home. When he first arrived, Grub was a little more reserved than his friend Pinky but with lots of love, patience and TLC from the kennel staff, he has really started to come out of his shell. He continues to gain confidence every day and the next step in his journey is finding a forever home where he can keep growing.
Grub is a lovely little walker who enjoys exploring his surroundings and taking in all the interesting smells along the way. He also loves his toys, especially anything that squeaks, and his tennis balls are a firm favourite - even the ones that are a little too big for his mouth! Whether he’s out on a long walk, playing with his favourite toys or enjoying a cuddle with his handlers, Grub is happiest when he’s spending time with people.
Grub is looking for an adult only home where he can continue building his confidence in a calm environment and have his own space when he needs it. He would also need to be the only dog in the home. Although he has lived with another dog before, Grub would much rather have all the attention and be spoiled as the only four legged member of the family.
Continued support with basic training, including house training, will help Grub settle in and thrive in his new home. After experiencing uncertainty in his life, Grub is looking for kind adopters who can show him that the world can be a wonderful place and help him begin his next chapter. A few tasty treats along the way would definitely help win his heart!
