Smart Skippy arrived at Longview at the beginning of June after his previous owner sadly no longer wanted him and he was left at a vet practice. Since arriving, Skippy has quickly become a firm favourite with staff and dog walkers thanks to his kind and affectionate personality. When he first came to us, he was understandably unsure after so much change but with plenty of love and reassurance, he has come out of his shell and shown everyone what a wonderful boy he is.

Skippy absolutely loves a cuddle and will happily snuggle up by your side. Despite being an older gentleman, he still enjoys getting out and about, exploring the world, meeting new people and having lots of exciting sniffs along the way. He is a fantastic walker and takes great pleasure in his adventures.

This clever boy is eager to please and loves learning but one of his favourite things has to be playing fetch with a tennis ball. Skippy could live with older, dog savvy children who understand that he also likes having his own space. He has been brilliant walking alongside other dogs at the centre and could potentially live with a calm canine companion following a successful meeting. Skippy is a truly lovely lad who deserves the stability, love and companionship. He’s ready for his next adventure with a family who will cherish him.
