Tender hearted Timmy arrived at the end of March after being abandoned on an allotment alongside another dog. When Timmy first arrived, he was a nervous and unsure boy who hadn’t experienced much of the world and still had lots to learn. With time, patience, and plenty of love from the kennel team, Timmy has made incredible progress.
Although Timmy can still feel a little worried by loud noises or sudden movements, he responds to reassurance from his handler and is becoming more comfortable with each walk. He enjoys staying close to his favourite people and walks nicely on the lead. Timmy’s playful side has really started to shine too! He loves spending time in the run and could happily play fetch all day, especially if there’s a tennis ball or rope toy involved!
This lovely boy is looking for adopters who understand that he has been through a lot and will give him the patience, kindness, and encouragement he needs to continue building his confidence. A cosy sofa where he can relax and feel safe would be the perfect addition to his new home.
Having previously lived with another dog and shown confidence when walking alongside other dogs at the centre, Timmy may be able to live with a canine companion. This would be dependent on a successful meeting at the centre, as we want to make sure it’s the perfect match for everyone. Timmy is looking for an adult only home where he can have the time and space to settle in at his own pace.
When Timmy arrived, he was receiving treatment for sore, scabby skin, which has since cleared with a managed chicken free diet. Our team will be happy to discuss this in more detail with any potential adopters. We are incredibly proud of how far Timmy has come during his time with us. He is a gentle, loving boy with so much potential, and we can’t wait to see the wonderful next chapter waiting for him.
