ABOUT US

RSPCA Blackpool and North Lancashire Branch is a separately registered charity and has been helping animals in the local area since 1958.
We are located in Stalmine having moved here in 2014 to a new animal centre.

Our history

The original centre was located at Division Lane in Blackpool and remained there for over 56 years. Over the years the site deteriorated and eventually became unfit for purpose so the board of trustees took the decision to purchase land and build a new state of the art centre to provide appropriate accommodation for local animals entrusted into our care.

What we do

We care for dogs, cats, rabbits and a range of small animals including domesticated birds. At the centre's busiest, we can have over 100 animals in our care. The RSPCA prioritises the victims of cruelty, neglect and suffering so does not normally accept unwanted pets from members of the public, as the demand for space from our priority animals exceeds our capacity.

How are we funded?

We are responsible for raising the money locally to fund our work from appeals, donations, events, legacies and sales at our charity shops. We receive no government funding and rely on your donations to continue our work rehabilitating and rehoming rescued animals.
