BECOME A VOLUNTEER
Volunteering is fun, rewarding and plays a critical role in our work to improve animal welfare.
These are some of the ways you could help...

Dog walker
Love dogs but unable to commit to one as a pet? If yes, then why not become a volunteer dog walker at the centre. The animal centre is located in a lovely countryside setting with a variety of peaceful walks to undertake. At any one time, we can have over 30 dogs all needing a walk each day so any help is much appreciated.
Cat cuddler & small animal socialising
Could you help us by becoming a cat cuddler or small animal socialiser? This role involves grooming and socialising a variety of cats in our care along with our rabbits, guinea pigs and smaller furry friends. Each one has their own unique temperament and character so every day is different!
Fundraiser
We are always in need of volunteers who can help us at a variety of events which we either run or attend throughout the year. Roles include; taking part in fundraising collections at local supermarkets, assisting at our dog shows, manning stalls or even baking cakes!
Reception & admin
Can you help out on our busy reception desk? The main duties/tasks involve; assisting on a busy and fast paced reception, answering a variety of telephone queries and liaising with visitors.
Charity shop
Looking to enter the retail sector? Our volunteer roles at our RSPCA based charity shops offer the opportunity to learn new skills or to develop existing ones. Roles include; working on the till, pricing and labelling items, sorting items and changing window displays.
Gardening & maintenance
This role includes; maintaining flower beds, borders and garden areas around the animal centre and community gardens, basic decorating, clearing guttering and some minor carpentry work/repairs.
