Dora and Frank are a lovely mother and son pair looking for a loving home together after coming into RSPCA care following the sad loss of their owner. They were understandably nervous at first and needed time to settle, but with patience, reassurance and a gentle approach, they have shown themselves to be affectionate cats with wonderful temperaments. They can be unsure around new people, but a familiar voice, some gentle attention and the occasional tasty treat soon brings out their sweet purrs, chin rubs and Frank’s adorable little meows.

Dora is the more placid of the pair and enjoys being stroked from the comfort of her bed, while Frank prefers attention from one of his favourite shelves or, when he is feeling brave, from your knee. Once they feel comfortable, both love a cuddle and will happily enjoy plenty of affection from their trusted people.

They are used to outdoor access, having previously enjoyed exploring their neighbourhood during the day before coming indoors in the evenings. Their new home will therefore need to be away from busy main roads and railways, with safe outdoor space for them to explore once they are fully settled. A calm and quiet environment would suit them perfectly.

With patient adopters who are happy to let them adjust at their own pace, Dora and Frank have every chance of becoming wonderful companions. All they need now is a peaceful home where they can stay together, feel safe and continue to grow in confidence.
