Beautiful Bolt arrived at Longview at the beginning of September after his previous owner sadly found they were no longer able to cope with his needs. When he first arrived, he was full of confidence and was very happy to let his handlers know exactly what he did and didn’t like. Since then, he has come on leaps and bounds and has shown everyone just what a wonderful dog he can be.
Although Bolt is an independent boy, he has really grown in confidence around people and now loves saying hello to everyone he meets. His favourite greeting is a wagging tail and, of course, plenty of fuss! Without a doubt, Bolt’s absolute favourite thing in the world is going for a walk. He loves getting out and about, stretching his legs and taking in all the wonderful smells his surroundings have to offer. He is a fantastic walking companion and happily trots along beside you, making him an ideal partner for an active lifestyle.
We’re looking for an active family who understands the physical and mental needs of a Husky and can give Bolt the exercise, enrichment and adventures he thrives on. Husky experience isn’t essential, but an understanding of the breed and their wonderfully unique personalities would certainly be an advantage. Bolt is looking for a home where he can be the only dog, as he would love nothing more than having all the attention to himself and being treated like the prince he truly believes he is!
Despite his energetic side, Bolt has a lovely laid-back nature and could potentially live with dog-savvy children who understand how to interact respectfully with dogs. Bolt really is a special boy. He has completely captured the hearts of his handlers during his time at Longview, and they have no doubt that he will capture the heart of his future family too.
