Delboy arrived at the centre after his previous was unable to give him the care he needed. He is looking for a special home with someone who has dog experience and also experience with nervous dogs. He hasn’t had the greatest start in life and is looking for a calm, quiet forever home. The staff at the centre have been patient and dedicated in helping Delboy to blossom into an affectionate boy, however he is still quite nervous of new people particularly men.
We are looking for an adopter who will continue Delboy’s training and along with support from a clinical behaviourist who has already met and assessed Delboy, will help show him the world isn't so scary so that he can grow in confidence and adjust to life in a new home. We are so proud of how far Delboy has come since arriving, he has really come into his own and loves the adventures the day brings.
Delboy is a really big fan of tennis balls and loves playing with these with his handlers, so if you have a tennis ball you’ve already got yourself on his side. He has even been to the beach with one of the kennel staff and had the best time running around on the sands and seeing what the world has to offer, he even had himself a pup cup! Delboy is looking for an adult only home and although, he often goes out on group dog walks here at the centre, we feel that Delboy would thrive better in a home where he is the only pet.
