Stunning Silkie arrived at Longview at the beginning of April after his needs were sadly not being met in his previous home. When Silkie first arrived, he was a little unsure of the world around him, having not experienced much of it before. However, with plenty of patience, TLC, and a few extra tasty treats, this lovely boy has truly blossomed. He is now enjoying life to the fullest and showing everyone what a wonderful companion he can be.

Silkie absolutely thrives in the company of people and is always looking for opportunities to make new friends. Whether it’s cuddles with kennel staff or attention from his favourite dog walkers, Silkie is happiest when he’s getting fuss and affection. This handsome lad loves his walks and enjoys exploring the world through all the amazing scents around him. After an adventure outdoors, there’s nothing he loves more than stretching out his long legs on his duvet and settling down for a cosy snooze.

Silkie is a very easy boy to win over - a tennis ball, some tasty treats, and a gentle scratch behind the ears are all it takes to become his best friend! Silkie is looking for an adult only home where he can be the only pet, as he would love to have all the attention to himself. He can sometimes become a little frustrated when meeting other dogs on walks, so his adopters should be prepared to continue supporting him with his training. He walks well overall but can have moments where his size and enthusiasm shine through, so continued training in the home would be beneficial.
