Terrific Tank arrived at Longview at the beginning of April, and this wonderful boy has been winning hearts ever since. Tank may be a big lad but he has an even bigger personality! He absolutely loves being around people and enjoys nothing more than receiving fuss and attention, especially when it comes with his famous whole body wiggles! Tank loves heading out on his walks and exploring the world around him. He’s a curious boy who enjoys taking his time, having lots of sniffs, and seeing what adventures are waiting around the corner. He’s generally a lovely walking companion, although his size means he can sometimes be a little strong on the lead.
This clever boy has already started showing how quickly he can learn, picking up tricks such as “sit” and happily demonstrating them for a tasty treat. Continued basic training in the home will help Tank settle into family life and give him the confidence to thrive in his new surroundings. Tank would do best in an adult only home, as he is a big, enthusiastic boy who can sometimes forget just how large he is when showing his affection!
He has walked well alongside some of the other dogs at the centre but we feel he would prefer to be the only dog in the home where he can enjoy all the attention. Experience with larger breed dogs would be beneficial for Tank’s adopters. Tank is a truly special boy with so much love to give. He’s looking for someone who can give him the patience, guidance and affection he deserves and in return, he’ll give you a lifetime of loyalty, love, and those wonderful happy wiggles.
