Wonderful Winston arrived at Longview in July and has settled in incredibly well. Initially nervous, he soon came out of his shell and showed everyone what a loving, affectionate little chap he is. He arrived following welfare concerns, severely matted and needing sedation to safely remove his coat. While at the vets, he earned the adorable nickname ‘Happy Mop’ thanks to his cheerful nature despite everything he had been through.

Winston has a wonderful personality and gets incredibly excited when meeting new people, with his tail constantly wagging. He loves walks and exploring, although he can become overexcited when he spots someone or another dog he simply must say hello to! Despite being nearly nine, Winston still has plenty of puppy-like enthusiasm. He isn't particularly interested in toys, preferring to sniff and explore the paddocks.

His friendly nature means Winston could suit a variety of homes. He loves other dogs and could potentially live with another dog following a successful introduction. He could also live with children of all ages, as he thrives on company and attention. His new family will need to be committed to his grooming needs, including regular professional grooming and ongoing coat care at home. He'll also need patience and consistency with basic training, including house training. Winston is a little star with so much love to give. All he needs now is a cosy sofa, plenty of adventures and a family ready to give him all the fuss he deserves.
