Felipe is a charming, friendly boy and a firm favourite with our cattery team. He came to Longview after being abandoned by his previous owner. He has now been waiting for a home for more than six months, making him our longest-staying cat resident since becoming available for adoption in late February.

Although he was timid at first and needed some time to find his paws, Felipe has grown into a real character. He is often waiting at the front of his pen or will run over from his favourite orange chair to say hello. He greets people with a little meow before happily showing his affectionate side, climbing onto laps for gentle strokes. He also has plenty of playful energy and will do just about anything for a tasty treat!

Recently, as his wait has grown longer, staff have noticed that Felipe can become overstimulated quite easily and may give a small nip. This is a new behaviour and seems to be linked to frustration as he waits for his perfect match. We believe that once Felipe has the chance to explore a home, enjoy more space and, eventually, have safe outdoor access, much of this frustrated energy will ease.

Felipe would be best suited as the only pet in a quiet home, with cat-savvy children of an older age who understand and respect his boundaries. He has so much love and affection to give and is simply waiting for someone to see the wonderful character we have come to know.
