The cost of operating Longview is considerable, and we are entirely self-funded. Many people are surprised to learn that we receive no funding from the National RSPCA, so every penny we raise really does matter.
We are able to continue providing vital rescue, care and rehabilitation services thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, fundraisers and donors. Their kindness helps us give animals in need the safety, treatment and second chances they deserve.
One of our favourite fundraising events is our annual Dog Show. This year’s classes included:
‘Best Biscuit Catcher’
‘Best Trick’
‘Most Fabulous Fella’
‘Most Gorgeous Girl’
‘Best Rescue’
‘The Dog the Judge Would Most Like to Take Home’.
As you can imagine, choosing the winners was VERY difficult!
We were especially thrilled to welcome back many of our former residents, now happily settled in their new homes....and showing off some very impressive tricks they had learned along the way.
It was a truly wonderful day, filled with wagging tails, fantastic prizes, delicious cakes and, of course, our legendary BBQ. Best of all, the event raised an amazing £1,100 to support the animals in our care.
