The RSPCA Blackpool and North Lancashire is a Branch of the RSPCA and therefore is an independent charity. In order to help animals in our area money has to be raised locally by staff and volunteers through fund raising, donations and legacies. We do not receive any government funding.

Our charity shops need more electrical goods and furniture!

We currently need volunteers to help in our Morecambe charity shop.

This role entails a high level of customer service. Retail experience is not necessary however and interest in sales would be beneficial. Our charity shops play an extremely important role within the branch as they fund the animal centre. Without such funding the animal centre would not be able to continue to care for abused and neglected animals.

Helping at the charity shops is a fun, rewarding volunteer opportunity. If you would like to know more please contact the Manager of the Morecambe shop directly.

* Animal of the week *

Kellogg

 Kellogg is an adult, neutered male. He was found in a salt bin by the hospital and brought to the animal centre. Kellogg is the most loving and talkative boy who we are sure was a much loved pet at some point in his live. Sadly no-one has come forward to claim him and due to becoming stressed in the cattery he has lost some of the hair from his bottom!

Being such a lovely boy he really deserves to find a loving home.

If you think you may be able to give Kellogg the home he deserves please contact the animal centre or pop in to see us, Tuesday - Sunday 11am - 4pm.

 THANKS to all of you who have given a home to one of our shelter animals! For all of you who are looking to give one of our rescue animals a good home please feel free to browse our 'Animals for adoption pages' or call into the centre, Tuesday-Sunday, 11.00am-16.00pm.

All animal donations are non-refundable so please think carefully and listen to any adivce given before deciding to adopt a pet.

In 2011 we will be starting an exciting new venture of building a new animal centre! Sadly the animal centre we are currently using is sinking into the moss land it was built on and so we cannot stay here. However we need to raise the money to pay for the build of the new centre and so will be holding lots of fundraising events this year in order to do this.
