The RSPCA Blackpool and North Lancashire is a Branch of the RSPCA and therefore is an independent charity. In order to help animals in our area money has to be raised locally by staff and volunteers through fund raising, donations and legacies. We do not receive any government funding.

We currently need volunteer home visitors.
This role entails visiting people's houses who are interested in adopting a pet from the us to make sure that the animal is suitable for their home and family. Training and petrol allownace is provided. Please contact the animal centre if you think you would enjoy helping us find homes for the animals in our care.
* Animal of the week *
Bertha
Bertha is an adult, neutered female. She came to the animal centre back in June 2011 after being found as a stray. She can be an escape artist an so we are looking for a secure home for her where she will have both rabbit and human company.
At the moment Bertha is paired with a male rabbit however we are happy to re-home Bertha on her own as long as she has another rabbit for company as she really enjoys the company of another rabbit.
If you think you may be able to offer Bertha the home please do not hesitate to contact the animal centre.

All animal donations are non-refundable so please think carefully and listen to any adivce given before deciding to adopt a pet.

In 2011 we will be starting an exciting new venture of building a new animal centre! Sadly the animal centre we are currently using is sinking into the moss land it was built on and so we cannot stay here. However we need to raise the money to pay for the build of the new centre and so will be holding lots of fundraising events this year in order to do this.
